CHICAGO, Ill. - The Chicago Fire defeated Inter Miami CF 2-1 at Soldier Field on Saturday afternoon. Xherdan Shaqiri scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute.
The Fire took the lead in the 25th minute when Miguel Navarro scored off a rebound. Inter Miami equalized in the 55th minute when Gonzalo Higuaín scored from the penalty spot.
Shaqiri scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute when he headed in a cross from Jhon Durán. The win is the Fire's first win in three games and moves them into seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
Inter Miami remains in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with the loss.
