Trump Shot at Pennsylvania Rally

Spectator Also Killed, Secret Service Says

Trump Says He Was 'Grazed' in the Ear

Former President Donald Trump was shot in the right ear during a campaign rally on Saturday, sparking panic and sending the Republican presidential candidate fleeing from the stage. A spectator was also killed in the shooting, the Secret Service said. Trump said in a post online that he had been "grazed" in the ear and was "doing well."

The shooting happened at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, around 5 p.m. ET. Trump was speaking to a crowd of supporters when multiple shots were fired. Video footage from the rally shows Trump being rushed off the stage by Secret Service agents. He was seen holding his hand to his ear and appeared to be bleeding.

The Secret Service said in a statement that Trump was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He was released from the hospital later that night.

The spectator who was killed in the shooting has been identified as a 56-year-old man from Ohio. The man's name has not been released.

The shooting is under investigation by the Secret Service and the FBI. No arrests have been made.
