Carabao Cup Late Turnaround Helps Spurs Sink Coventry

Carabao Cup: Late Turnaround Helps Spurs Sink Coventry

Spurs Score Three Goals in Final 15 Minutes to Secure Victory

Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to beat Coventry City 3-1 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night. The visitors took the lead through Gustavo Hamer in the first half, but Spurs fought back with goals from Harry Kane, Sergio Reguilon, and Heung-min Son in the final 15 minutes.

Late Goals Seal Victory for Spurs

Spurs were fortunate to find a way back into the game after a disappointing first-half performance. The hosts were much improved after the break and deserved their victory.

Kane equalized for Spurs in the 78th minute with a header from a Son cross. Reguilon then put Spurs ahead in the 82nd minute with a fine strike from outside the box. Son sealed the victory in the 87th minute with a tap-in from close range.

Coventry Deserved More

Coventry were unlucky not to get more from the game. They played well for long periods and deserved to be at least level at half-time.

However, Spurs showed their quality in the final 15 minutes and ultimately deserved their victory.
