Two Rangers Prospects Could Make Opening Day Roster

Rangers Prospects Eye Opening Day Roster Spot

Two Rangers prospects, Brennan Othmann and Will Cuylle, have a chance to make the Rangers' opening day roster

Brennan Othmann, 19, is a left-winger who was drafted 16th overall by the Rangers in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He had a very impressive season with the OHL's Flint Firebirds, scoring 50 goals and adding 47 assists in 66 games. He also represented Canada at the 2022 World Junior Championships, where he had 4 goals and 3 assists in 7 games.

Will Cuylle, 19, is a centerman who was drafted 20th overall by the Rangers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He spent last season with the OHL's Windsor Spitfires, scoring 32 goals and adding 31 assists in 62 games. He also represented Canada at the 2022 World Junior Championships, where he had 3 goals and 3 assists in 7 games.

Both Othmann and Cuylle have been impressive in training camp and have shown that they are ready to play in the NHL. They are both skilled players who can create scoring chances for themselves and their teammates. They are also both good skaters and have a strong work ethic.

If they continue to play well, Othmann and Cuylle could both make the Rangers' opening day roster. They would be a welcome addition to the team, and they could help the Rangers compete for a playoff spot.
