SMNI's SNR Drive

On the season premiere of SMNI's SNR Drive, Congressman and SAGIP Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta stated that he felt betrayed by lawyer Lorenzo Gadon. Congressman Marcoleta is currently facing an ethics complaint for using the House of Representatives' letterhead for a personal letter.

Gadon was the one who filed the ethics complaint against Marcoleta. Last August 2021, Marcoleta wrote a letter to the Bureau of Immigration using the House letterhead, asking the bureau to stop the departure of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation executives who are set to leave the country.

The letter was not endorsed by the House leadership. The letter was also not acted upon by the Bureau of Immigration. Pharmally president Twinkle Dargani, Christine and Mohit Dargani were able to leave the country.

Marcoleta's Statement

"I feel betrayed by Atty. Gadon because he promised me that the letter would be coursed through the House leadership... I also feel betrayed because he should have talked to me first before he filed the ethics complaint," Marcoleta said in an interview.

Gadon, for his part, said that he did not betray Marcoleta. He said that he only filed the ethics complaint after he tried to talk to Marcoleta about the issue but Marcoleta did not respond to his calls and messages.

"I did not betray Cong. Marcoleta. I only filed the ethics complaint after I tried to talk to him about the issue but he did not respond to my calls and messages," Gadon said in a statement.

The ethics complaint against Marcoleta is still pending before the House Committee on Ethics.
